With an ergo triangle inspired by its trusted and beloved 690 sibling, the KTM 125 SMC R boasts aggressive bodywork and a compact 9L metal fuel tank that is perfectly styled to allow for easy put-out, knee-down action. The bodywork is also made from proven, flexible, and long-lasting PP plastic material better suited for off-roading and aggressive riding.
The KTM 125 SMC R comes with premium looks and a striking graphic design as standard. Thanks to top-tier in-mold graphics, it not only looks the part but can also handle anything the outdoors throws at it.
The KTM 125 SMC R boasts a Bosch 10.3MB Modulator which is the brain responsible for its impressive ABS system. This enables standard ABS and a Supermoto ABS option for sliding action.
Tearing a deep gash into the night, the KTM 125 SMC R is equipped with powerful LED lights. Not only do these work when the world becomes dark, but they also provide improved visibility when navigating busy traffic or misty road conditions.
With an ergo-triangle inspired by its bigger brother, the KTM 690 SMC R, the KTM 125 SMC R features an aggressive handlebar shape, upright seating angle, and generous space for easy on-bike mobility.
Taking inspiration from the KTM EXC range but with added comfort for longer commutes or trips, the KTM 125 SMC R has a new 860 mm single-piece flat seat design for easy on-board mobility and getting low into an apex.
All-new, grippy footrests ensure riders have an uninterrupted foothold when banging through the gears, or carving through some tight turns. These are also adjustable in two positions.
The new design features a 2-piece construction composed of an all-new steel trellis main frame with a pressure die-cast aluminum subframe. Not only designed for overall looks, the primary objective of the frame design is to enhance vehicle dynamics by augmenting torsional rigidity, improved agility, and enhanced feedback from the chassis.
A gravity die-cast swingarm has been specifically developed for the KTM 125 SMC R, and provides a sturdy and durable platform for the rear suspension system. Featuring a direct shock absorber mount offset to the side, it creates additional space for the unique exhaust system.
